A 25 percent buyer’s premium turns a $1,000 ceiling into a different number. Reading sold prices instead of estimates, spotting a bad bottle, and why the room got pickier after 2022.

Most collections do not fail at buying, they fail at storage. Steady cool temperatures, bottles kept upright, less headspace in the opened ones, and insurance worth having.
